The traditional bakery in the heart of the Eifel was established in the 1890’s and is now managed and run by the master baker Markus Bell. It goes without saying that all the bread he bakes is made – as it was done 100 years ago – from natural sourdough manufactured by the bakery itself. Each loaf is handmade and therefore unique.
Markus Bell says “Our breads always rise superbly and have a wonderful crisp crust. It doesn’t matter how often you load the oven it never affects the quality of baking. I am extremely impressed by the oven spring of the Thermo-Oel deck oven!”
